An Introduction to Our Honey, Mustards, Chutneys, Relishes, & Sauces

Our Coarse Grain Mustard is hand mixed Vinegar based, Coarse Grain Mustard, originating from an old Suffolk recipe using more than 12 ingredients. The main ingredients are Organic Cyder Vinegar, Gluten Free Mustard Powder, Pure Vegetable Oil, Turmeric, Basil, Garlic, and Peppercorns. Our Mustards have a long shelf life, and little to no evaporation.

 

Our Honey Mustard is hand made from our famous full English Coarse Grain Mustard mixed with Pure Suffolk Honey and Pure Vegetable Oil using more than 12 ingredients. The main ingredients are Honey, Mustard, and Organic Cyder Vinegar.

An Introduction to Our Honey, Sauce and Chutneys

Our Pure Suffolk Honey is collected from Meadows in Finningham and Boxford, where the pollen is from plants such as Lime, Elderflower, and Bramble giving a very sweet honey. Nothing Added, Nothing Taken Away.

Our Fig, Onion and Apple Chutney is made from Imported Figs but Local Organic Cyder Vinegar, Bramley Apples and Onions.

Our BBQ Sauce /Marinade won the Gold Award at the Guild of Fine Food Retailers Great Taste awards in 2005 for the best Hand Made Marinade. It is made from a mixture of our Honey and Mustard, and it is ideal for either marinating on uncooked meat or fish, or can be used as a relish/sauce for cooked meat particularly tasty on barbecues.

Our Green Tomato Chutney is Hand Made from Locally Grown Tomatoes and Bramley Apples with Ginger and Red Wine Vinegar.

Our Herbal Tomato Sauce is from Locally Grown Tomatoes, Onions and Mixed Herbs, including Fresh Basil Leaves, Fennel Seeds, Coriander Seeds, Cloves, Garlic, and Red Chilli Hand Mixed in Aspall Cyder.

Our Suffolk Vinaigrette is made from Local Honey and our Famous Mustard, Organic Cyder Vinegar, and a mix of Pure Vegetable Oil and Extra Virgin Rape Seed Oil mixed with our special blend of Herbs & Spices.

 

Our Ginger Chutney is made from Ground Ginger (sadly not local), Local Organic Cyder Vinegar, Bramley Apples, Granulated Sugar, Black Treacle, Raisins, Currants, Mustard Powder, Curry Powder, and Salt. A subtle balance of not being too hot but very much a ginger taste.

Our Mango Chutney is made from Mangoes (sadly not available locally), Local Organic Cyder Vinegar, Garlic, Brown Sugar, Spices, Dates, Fruit, Sweet Chilli, and Cinnamon plus the usual Chutney ingredients

Our Traditional Chutney is made from Local Bramley Apples, Brown Sugar, Onions, Malt Vinegar, Black Treacle, Raisins, Currants, Curry Powder, Mustard, Ginger, Chilli, and Salt. The ideal Chutney for a ploughman’s lunch or for cold meats with salads.  

Our Red Onion Relish is also Hand Made, Hand Stirred from the best ingredients. Our Red Onions are from Suffolk and so are the Bramley Apples, which are softened in Aspall Cyder. We also add Balsamic Vinegar, Sugar and Spices.

Our Spicy Tomato Sauce is from Locally Grown Tomatoes, Onions and Mixed Herbs, including Fresh Basil Leaves, Fennel Seeds, Coriander Seeds, Cloves, Garlic, and a good measure Red Chilli and Ginger Hand Mixed in Aspall Cyder

             

The main ingredients of most of our foods are sourced from Norfolk & Suffolk, and are the best we can buy. Additionally we avoid using artificial colourings or preservatives. We remove Wheat Flour from our Mustard, to minimize Glutens and where possible we use Organically &/or Naturally Grown Foods.
Additionally our Sauces are Gluten Free and Reduced or No Salt Added
